Upstart Press & Ekor Bookshop & Cafe are thrilled to invite you to come and celebrate Obsession, the new book from Elspeth Sandys.
Obsession is a literary mystery tale, the story of an obsessive love affair, and the repercussions long after the affair has ended. The two people at the heart of the story are writers. The third person in the triangle is a celebrated poet of Dalmatian extraction. It recreates the era in an atmosphere charged with New Zealand’s 1980s culture, set on an island where the dense bush forms a metaphor for the difficulties of a struggling writer striving to raise her head above the dominating reputation of her lover.
Enjoy wine and nibbles with one of New Zealand's most treasured authors, Elspeth Sandys and hear from the wonderful Jane Westaway who will be launching this brilliant new novel.
Launched at Ekor Bookshop & Cafe 6-7.30pm on the 9th of March.
"I promised I'd do a super kid friendly event and here it is. Please come along and have a wine and let the kids run wild and I will be there to read something from the book and you can buy the book and get it signed if you like and we will all cackle and be wine mums and coo over each other's babies and eat chocolate and it'll be wonderful x" - Emily Writes
