A little about the wonderful author Rachel McAlpine !!
Rachel McAlpine is the successful author of four other novels—The Limits of Green, Running Away From Home, Farewell Speech (all Penguin NZ), and Humming (Hazard)—several plays including Driftwood and The Stationary Sixth Form Poetry Trip, various books of poems, and many works of non-fiction including The Passionate Pen and Real Writing. Rachel recently edited Shaky Places, a song cycle of New Zealand poems. Born in Fairlie, educated chiefly in Christchurch, Rachel now lives in Wellington.
